Followership: Leading at Every Level

Good leaders know it all too well. Great things can only be accomplished in partnership with knowledgeable and motivated followers.

This program introduces participants to the critical—and often overlooked—role that followers play in a thriving organization. The focus is on independent thinking and positive employee engagement as critical components of a successful leader-follower partnership.

Just as most people have a preferred leadership style, all of us have a followership style. This course helps participants gain insight into their followership style, and consider ways to become more consistently exemplary as they engage with leaders and others in the organization.

Participants will recognize opportunities to execute intelligently and enthusiastically. They will understand the value they create by applying their critical thinking skills to each assignment, positively and constructively challenging their leaders, and eagerly joining them in productive and satisfying mutual pursuits.

The course also helps leaders encourage and cultivate exemplary followership behaviors on the team.
